Who is this course for: This course will be open to those who have completed FINE Level 2 or NIDCAP Certification and who have an active role on a neonatal unit. Project work is disseminated through live or on-line meetings, seminars or conferences, or is submitted for publication.
A detailed assessment of infant and family centred developmental care is carried out on the unit using the NIDCAP Nursery Scales.
Project based learning is used to explore families’ experience of neonatal care and to implement a quality improvement plan. Although FINE 3 incorporates then same key principles and themes as other FINE courses it places more emphasis on systems organisation with the aim of facilitating change management.
One of the main challenges in delivering infant and family centred developmental care is managing change.
